Climbing Clips: My Favorite Hack for Vining Plants

If you grow climbing roses, jasmine, clematis, or any type of vining plant, you know how quickly they can get unruly. Finding the right way to train and support them without damaging stems can be tricky, but I’ve found something that makes the process so much easier: climbing clips.

These little clips are a game changer. I use them on my Lady Banks roses, Peggy Martin roses, and jasmine, and they have held up beautifully outdoors through heat, rain, and wind. They are sturdy enough to give your plants the support they need, yet gentle enough that they will not pinch or break delicate new growth.

What I love most is how they simplify training. Instead of fussing with twine or wire, you can quickly clip your vines into place, guiding them exactly where you want them to grow. The end result is a plant that looks neat, tidy, and full of intention without the frustration.

If you want to make your gardening life a little easier, I’ve linked my favorite climbing clips here in my Amazon storefront.
